Give us your tired, your poorly working, your broken Apple equipment and we'll take care of the rest. (with apologies to Emma Lazarus)
Greetings GeekHampton customers, we hope summer is treating you well. We'd like to let you know about a special event we are planning. Our 1st Annual GeekHampton Recycling Event is launching on Monday, August 17th. Here's the deal: bring in any Apple branded computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, and printers (computer equipment with an Apple logo on it) to our store in Hampton Bays. We'll take charge of your old equipment and properly recycle the equipment for you. In appreciation of your recycling donation we are offering you a gift. With each computer you bring in for recycling we'll give you a $25 voucher for tech or tutoring services. Only one voucher can be used per household. To take advantage of this voucher you must schedule an appointment with us by October 15th, 2009. This voucher is only good for services, not product.
If you drop off any Apple computer or monitor from August 17th through September 12th we'll properly recycle it for you. Please only bring Apple branded stuff to the store between 10 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday until September 12th.
Special thanks to The Garage in Hampton Bays, our excellent local Auto Service and Repair Shop, for their sponsorship of this event. They are generously allowing us space in their parking lot to place the recycling container. The best way to thank our sponsor is for you to patronize them. Mention this newsletter and receive 50% off on an OIL CHANGE.
The Garage is located at 171 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY. Give them a call at 728-0200 to make an appointment for your car or truck.
Concerned about how your computers will be recycled? Worried about the sensitive data on your hard drive? e-Scrap Destruction is the company we have contracted to recycle all the Apple products we collect. They are an industry leader in the collection of electronic equipment for eco-friendly destruction and recycling. They guarantee the destruction of all your confidential data (by using a giant magnet which destroys the data) and the safe recycling of all equipment. If you want to learn more about how e-scrap works please visit their website.
