We offer in-home or office personalized tutoring in many programs. If you just bought a computer and you need basic instruction we can provide you with the ability to start using your new tool more effectively. If you need help with using Internet browsers (Firefox, Safari or AOL) and e-mail programs we can help. Want to learn how to scan pictures for email or print? We have much experience with many types of scanners, printers and photo editing programs like Photoshop and iPhoto. Our clients range in age from 11 to 86, so we can customize a learning program to fit anyone's needs.

Small group classes assume only the most basic Mac knowledge and run 45 minutes, at a cost of $50 per student. Please bring your Mac (or iPad) with you, if you can. Max four people per class. Reservations for small group classes are required.
This month we are listening to what everyone has been asking for and added some class series- ie: iPad 1, iPad 2 and iPad 3. If you sign up and purchase all three classes in a series you'll save 10% off the cost ($135 instead of $150). If you've already taken a Part 1 class and you'd like to complete the series please let us know. We will give you the same discount when you sign up for the remainder of the series. You can, of course, just sign up for any one of the series at the $50 per class rate. Remember there are only 4 people per class so reservations are necessary.

iPHOTOiPhoto 11, the newest version of Apple's photo management application, has a whole lot to offer. In this segment we will cover some of the program's major features--Events, Photos, Faces, and Places--and delve into importing and organizing photos. Although a basic Mac knowledge is required, previous experience with iPhoto is unnecessary.

SAFARIThe Mac's built in web browser Safari connects you to the "World Wide Web". This class will teach you how to search the Internet, make and organize bookmarks, locate downloaded files and more. Learn to use Safari's "Reader" function to format your news for maximum readability. And just as important as anything, learn how to be safe!

iMOVIEWe'll teach you how easy it is to to make your home movies into your all-time favorite films. This primer course will show you how to do basic importing and editing in iMovie. You'll leave class with the knowledge necessary to start creating your own masterpiece! No camera necessary.

Progression through this series of classes will teach you how to master your iPhone. You will learn how to do everything from turning it on to listening to music, making phone calls, using Mail, Messaging, Safari and so much more. It's a computer in the palm of your hand-get a handle on it.
Prerequisite for this class: Having an Apple ID and knowing your password. This is necessary for students to access the App Store.
Part 1: The Basics
We start with the simple things like turning on the iPhone to downloading apps and making phone calls. You will be on your way to mastering your iPhone with this class.

The world's best Internet communicator is in your pocket. Let's learn all of the ways to keep in touch with everyone! Find out how to surf the web with Safari, text using iMessage, video chat with FaceTime and of course email.
Part 3: Doing More & Being Productive
Organize your life with calendar, use Siri to create reminders to "Pick up milk", make voice memos, set up favorites to speed dial contacts and multitask on your iPhone like a pro. Learn just how easy it is to be productive with less effort on your new iPhone.

Progression through this series of classes will teach you everything you need to get the most out of your new iPad. Learn the basics of how to turn it on through creating documents, making presentations and getting Apps you need to maximize your iPad experience.

Part 1: The Basics
We start with the physical buttons and move on to connecting to the Internet using Wi-Fi or 3G. We'll learn to navigate the App Store and to download and organize your home screen.
Part 2: Communication & Internet
The iPad is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. Emailing just scratches the surface. We will learn about Apple's FaceTime video chatting solution, iMessage and even twitter!
Part 3: Doing More & Being Productive
Our lives are busy and chaotic and using our iPad to stay organized and be productive cannot only be easy but fun! Using the built-in Calendar and Reminders applications is just the start.

MEET YOUR MAC • Part 1We start with an introduction to the Mac & Mac OS X Lion and some of its new features. We'll start off with the basics of OS X - using the Dock, Spotlight, Mission Control and Launchpad. Learn how to find apps and purchase them from the App Store, set up separate user accounts on your Mac for all the different people in your home and more.
Start communicating with friends and family on your new Mac. We will learn how to use Apple Mail, organize your contacts and create calendar appointments. Learn how to video chat using FaceTime and communicate using iChat.
Start getting your files organized using the Finder & Smart Folders. Learn to use Stacks, Spotlight and the Desktop. Saving files is easy, where you put them and the time you spend locating them is the problem. Get familiar with the Finder Window and how to customize it to make it work more efficiently for you.

WEB BROWSING: Focus on saving and organizing bookmarksWednesday, February 8 - 6 to 7 pm
This class will show you the ins and outs of saving and organizing bookmarks. Usually bookmarks fall into 2 categories: frequently visited (banking, shopping) and occasionally visited (medical, travel). Learn how to create bookmark folders, make use of the bookmark's toolbar (where your frequently visited sites should be kept) and keep the bookmark's menu (occasionally visited sites) under control in order to easily find your saved sites.
